Get To Know Matthew Craig

Born in Michigan to an interior designer mother and a mechanical engineer father, Matthew has always had a creative spirit and an eye for design.

After a 15-year stint as a mortgage broker, he relocated to Seattle in 2005 to kick-start his career in the home decor and design industry.

He then went on to work as a designer for Schoenfeld Interiors, a high-end furniture retailer, and the renowned interior design firm Jenkins Baer. In 2018, he established Matthew Craig Interiors with the purpose to make his clients feel something when they walk into the space.

As a lover of conceptual architecture and fine craftsmanship, I'm passionate about creating beautiful spaces for clients who value aesthetics and beauty.

My client's often talk about how my rooms make them feel and for me that is the biggest compliment. I like to create rooms that offer a sense of calm and quiet with a tactile quality, monochromatic color pallets that play with texture and pattern for visual interest.

From concept to completion, Matthew guides you through every step of the process, ensuring that you're completely in love with the results.

Discovery Phase

It all begins with a conversation. Matthew will explore your passions, lifestyle preferences, and functional needs as well as review inspirational imagery to inform his design.

Design Phase

Next, Matthew will meticulously map out the flow of your space, crafting a thoughtful floor plan. He’ll also handpick furniture selections, materials, and patterns.

Presentation Phase

Matthew will then present his thoughtfully curated design plans, walking you through his vision for your space. During this time, he will also provide you with a detailed estimate.
